i just got a new aspire x dreamer case and its got a thermal sensor on it and i was just wondering were am i suposed to put it? right now its just hanging thier inside my case.

You just put it where ever you want to monitor the temps inside your case. Example:Video card, cpu, hard drives, just about any where

can i put it directly inbetween the cpu and heat sink? or for that matter directly between the gpu and heat sink? i really dont see how it can go on the gpu or cpu, wouldnt it interfear with the seeting of the heat sink?

you never put the probe between the cpu and the heatsink u put i ton the underside of the cpu die. and no u can't because u have to have something that will weave ebtween the pins. i just keep mine at the bottom of my case or near my NB. so i can either tell case temps or NB temps.
