i was just wondering kind of resistors i should use for a 2 led system in paralel. im not very good at this electrical stuff sad.gif. i plan on using ultrabright blue leds, and running them off of the 5v line from a molex.

Just wondering, what are you gonna do with taht setup? if there just gonna be on constantly just connect them by them selves

i was gonna make a mousepad thats lighted up

Well just get 5v LED's
or even 12v, and I am not sure what size resistor you would need
google.gif for a resistor calculator

Boy, you sure love that Google picture don't you.....

most LED's run at 3.3v
if I remember correctly... a 470 ohm resistor for each LED will do the trick to run each LED off of the 12v line

can't remember what Ohm for the 5v line though
kobalt
Neither do i , i always plug my light stuff on the 12V line cause of the mobo and HDD needs on 5V better safe than sorry wink.gif

Here this gives you the nesscesary equations to calculate the power and OHMerage needed, I think that you will need a resistor more around 30-40OHM for that but check for yourself. thats on the 5v btw

hmm. ya for 5v is 30 ohm. but i think ill just play it safe and run it off the 12 v with a 470. thanks guys
