I use rivet on my lian li case. 1/8" rivets. Aluminum ones not the steel ones. Along with that get the medium or long ones and get rivet washers for the inside. that is all u should need. the carpet tape should not be needed. just make sure the rivets are evenly placed with prolly a max of 6" between them.

I dont know what you have done to your rivits but the ones i use look freaking sweet when applied. Really smooth and make jobs look beautiful in my opinion. aluminum rivits are the best i have ound becuse they are eazier to get in place and you dont have to crimp as hard as with the steal ones.

Ditto on the AL rivits. But, for one, when you actually start to pull the rivet, put as much pressure as you can on the rivet and this will help the top of the rivet flatten out a little more. You will need brute strength sometimes, but the end result is good. Also, you will have a little room to actually sand them down a little too.
SHOCKA
HEY use aluminum rivets and get some aluminum polish or just plain metal polish and you can make the dull rivets look almost chrome with little to no work just dont get the polish on an alum case unless you wanna polish the entire case

A little elbow grease my boy.......

Aluminium rivets like the guy's have already stated are excellent for securing projects, however... you're doing a window mod? dry.gif so some really nice (small) crome bolts... possibly 'allen key' type would also look trick IMHO wink.gif

With the added bonus of easy interchange (without drilling out rivets) between your changing tastes in window designs/types smile.gif
