Yes it does.

If HE DID IT in open air, his hdd is toast. But if he did it correctly, it's still good.

how do you do it in a vacuum anyway?

wow i dont have the balls to screw around with my HDD... lol

the scratches you see are on the plastic cover. i put it in tupperware container while cut the window. it was only a 200mb hd so i had nothing to lose. it formated fine on xp.

fly into space and do it there... lol jk

i doubt that thing works, not bad though id sand the edges more. i can tell that hdd is old! what is it? 7 years old? 400mb? jw... good idea though, doin it on an old hd
