ASUS has joined forces with Antec, Intel , G.Skill, Nvidia, Razer, Samsung and OverclockersClub in offering our members a chance to participate in the Xtreme Design Contest.

This contest is where you get to design a system that involves putting ASUS' Xtreme Design Technology to work for you. You'll need to do a little homework first by visiting the Xtreme Design web site. Next, design a system using ideas from the Asus site and post your system project goals, anticipated challenges, diagrams, and sketches. You need to convince Asus you are capable of building your Xtreme Design.

ASUS will select up to twenty of the most innovative proposals from the OCC forums and other sites that can show off Xtreme Design in a real working scenario. Winners of the Stage I competition will be announced November 4 and will receive some awesome hardware to build their Xtreme Design, including an ASUS Xtreme Design motherboard, Intel processor, Nvidia Graphics, Samsung SSD, Razer Keyboard+mouse, Antec power supply, and G.Skill Memory.

From there the competition moves on to Stage II where winners have 30 days to post about the experience with the new build including posting pictures and videos and talk about the build and show off screen shots of performance numbers.

Five of the most engaging Stage II posters will be selected for special brand new hardware upgrades Dec. 7th with one lucky winner being crowned Xtreme Design champion and will win a trip with their rig to show off at the ASUS booth during CES 2010 Jan. 7th.

ASUS will be joining us in this thread to offer encouragement and answer any questions you might have so get ready to come up with the ultimate Xtreme Design!!

Well it looks like I'm the first! You can see my setup below. Note that this is not a proposed computer or a concept, it is one I am currently building, and I have all of the parts currently assembled, and will turn on machine the first time soon. I have a ways to go, and am new to OC'ing, so PLEASE send me any ideas. Obviously my weakness is air cooling, but that can easily be retrofitted with water cooling as soon as I am happy with the setup. Oddly enough, I selected and purchased all of my parts weeks ago, prior to seeing this thread. I have Intel, Nvidia, G.Skill, Antec (case), and an ASUS extreme mobo. Don't OCZ and Samsung have some ties?

That's the current list of sponsors we have at the moment - it could possibly change, but probably not.
