So guys, this is my first post, first of all my English sucks a bit so...sorry for that rolleyes.gif

As you can see the title says it all, i want to upgrade from my hd3870 to a hd4890, but im not quite sure my psu can handle it, and this is a big issue for me since they dont sell quality psus in my country(dominican republic), the closest thing they had a while ago is the one i have right now, thats why i got it. I used the power supply calc. on antecs webpage(http://www.antec.outervision.com/) but im not sure if i can trust that.

I think my psu is pretty good so far, but i think the change can be huge from board to board,
ill leave my the specs. here ad thx a lot biggrin.gif

System with GPU in FULL Stress = 370 Watt

and keep in mind that those 370W may have been measured before the PSU, and they may have been measured post PSU (which means the system really isn't pulling 370W, that's just after the ~20% efficiency loss)

There are many good PSUs available, over the years we reviewed a lot of them and have loads of recommended PSUs for you to check out in there, have a look. Things that can happen if your PSU can't cope with the load?:

* bad 3D performance
* crashing games
* spontaneous reset or imminent shutdown of the PC
* freezes during gameplay
* PSU overload can cause it to break down
