excuse the typo for the thread. "hard drive utilities" don't think i was paying attention. closedeyes.gif

what programs do you guys use to recover deleted files and completely delete deleted files?

for my recovery, i use a Recover my Files. i got this back in 2006 when i accidentally formatted the wrong drive. still does the job smile.gif

for deletion, i'm thinking about getting the free version of active killdisk (which lets you do one pass)

I don't know if this is exactly what you meant but I use Ultimate boot cd and it has done everything I have ever needed from it.

I have never yet had the need to recover a deleted file, but I use Eraser to delete files
