well heres my problem i want to theme my system towards ATI colors red/black but i got a dfi lan party mb with green uv sensitive pci/agp/ide ect.... i was wondering if it is possible to remove those and replace them with ones of a different color? any info and or suggestions are welcome. thnks

Ummmm.. I think there mounnted in the PCB permantley, so I don't think you can remove them.. Why not just paint them. I think that would be much easier you think!!

only way you're gonna be able to do this is if you have access to an SMT workstation to remove the solder points, and replace them. BIG $$$ needed to pull off a stunt like this.

Paint is your friend for this project.

what version of the lan party do you have? it might just be easier to try to make your vid card match the board, let expensive too... what do you think?

i got the old nf 2 ultra not the new model b.i supose ill just have to live with it.heh also got 4 led diagnostic lights on mb (red led lights with uv sensitive green? the mb designers must have been high when designing m y mb) my mb cost like 145+ i think and my videa card cost 375+ six months ago ill just get some more "really" bright red lightsz and hope i can drown out the green. sall good ill find a way.

Oh, in that case, I would like to throw my 15" CRT off a ten story building

the funny thing is ive actually done that...only it was a two story building.

Close enough, I would get a really long extension cord, plug it in, then throw it off a building. That woul be a nice explosion

i didn't throw one off a ten story building...but one night, walkin thru the streets to a house party with some friends, we came across a monitor lying by the side of the road. After kicking it and hurting my foot, I picked it up and screamed "TIM, CATCH!!" and chucked it at him....he quickly darted out of the way just in time and it came crashing down in the middle of street and shattered everywhere. Everyone in the streets erupted in cheers. lol. (I might have had a few drinks )

only a few? the glass on these monitors is thich huh? i had an old crt and it tooka few swing with a metal bball bat to even crack it.

yea we shot this one with a bb gun and after like 5 minutes of shooting it in the same place it finally started to crack. so then we put some explosives in it. wish i wouldnt have done that. its hard to type with 3 fingers TOTAL.....
