What is the difference in the two speeds 3gb vs 1.5 gb?
I would also like to ask if there is any risk in activating my 3 gb/s on my hdd?
The moddel of my mb is an intel DG31PR, the online manual does say it has sata 3 gb/s and it also says it has onboard gpu (which it does not have) so is there any risk in activating the 3 gb when my mb can only handle 1.5?
Thanx!

I enabled it "after" installing xp on the two seagates I have on raid 0 and it caused no problems.
On the seagates you just remove a jumper. I could not tell any huge increase in speed but why not
do it if you can. There should have been a sticker on the drives telling you about the option and
how to disable/enable it.
