I was trying to figure out how to mount a fan into the 5 1/4 bay when I noticed how an old PSU fit right into that space... So I lopped the back wall off of the PSU, mounted an 80mm fan, and PRESTO!! I think I need to paint it black though.

looks like that takes up more than just ONE 5 1/4 bay. Pretty neat idea though. Yeah, painting it black would probably look better, but nice job either way! smile.gif

So...where does your power cable come out?

Looks like a cool idea though, could be sweet to do a cable length mod, and with full sleeving, it could be pretty sweet. Lil bit more difficult to stealth the cables maybe, but that's cool

Yeah ClayMeow, its 2 bays.
Montol - I just cut one pannel off of an old PSU to use as a mounting plate.

Looks Great, bet it'll look even better once it's painted. Good Idea, maybe I'll try it out this weekend.
