I has a psone controller collecting dust, so I thought about modifying it to use as a pc gamepad. I tried to look around on google, but I only found how to connect it using a parallel port. I want to know how to be able to mod it to connect to the pc via usb instead. Does anyone know how?

Google gamemon. It's a $10 USB dock that accepts PSX(PS2 as well), XBOX and Gamecube controllers and acts as a USB hub as well. I have it and it works flawlessly using one or all three controller types at once. Heck, hit up your local Wal-mart. All the ones I've been to carry it in the electronics section(usually where they keep PC Game pads).

Yea I know about those, but doesn't that defeat the purpose and the fun of modding something? lol

you could make one yourself but you would need a USB controller chip, and wright your own driver etc. So I say just cut out the hassle & buy one.
