hi,

new to the forum so id like to say this is a great forum.

i need help,

i had this problem before so i reformatted pc but it did not solve my problem.

i use this software called ADOBE AUDITION

i record alot and after i add effect such as NOISE REDUCTION it freezes my whole pc and i need to restart it from the button in my computer. sometimes if im lucky it wont freeze but will freeze after in the mix track randomly. i reformated pc , reinstalled AA3. same thing happens with AA2 and even cool edit pro.

i guess in any recording software my pc crashes badly and have to power up again manually

got

1.2 GB RAM DDR2
Windows XP SP3
512 MB GFX CARD
Nforce Series 405 Geforece 6100
AMD ATHLON 64+ 3600+

my sound card is Creative ct5803 but had to change it to ct4810 because it wouldnt work... but now both of them did not stop my computer from completly freezing.

need help badly!

thank you

tried nearly everything... could this problem occure cause of BAD RAM? if so how can i fix this? because it also freezes randomly as well

Pull your sound card and see if it quits freezing.

And/or try new sound card drivers.

If so it can be many other things as well.

I suggest testing also your RAM and video card. Use Memtest86+ boot cd for RAM and ATITool Scan for artifacts function.

Here is a nice little program that stresses the video card and needs no installation in case ATITools doesn't work out.
