No video card?

That enermax PSU is a quality unit, it'll easily be able to handle the added load of an OC with the parts you listed so far.

The E8400 is very capable of more than a "little" overclocking. So my advice would be, play safe, if finances permit why not go for a good quality 600-750W power supply (OCZ, Corsair, Thermaltake, etc). This way you are not putting anything under too much stress and you can rest assured that your power supply isn't going to let you down.

Your English is excellent so please don't apologise.

Whoops, I thought that was part of your HD model number for some reason.

Although I would probably have suggested a PSU upgrade if you wanted to OC and had a video card that drew any real amount of power, I have to disagree with paulktreg here. While upgrading to a more powerful PSU would provide you with more future proofing, it's not necessary with your build. You'll have plenty of headroom with your PSU for overclocking as long as you don't go crazy and throw 6 or 7 new hard drives into the mix.

I agree with iKillSteal. It is actually surprising sometimes what a quality psu can do, regardless of how "low" the wattage may be. Just take it easy on the overclock, and do it gradually.

People sometimes can be a little overzealous on here when it comes to upgrading power supplies wink.gif

You'll be fine with your PSU. My "small" 500 watt PSU runs my desktop in my sig without any trouble at all. smile.gif

250gb is more than enough for me, and if its not, i still have my old external harddrive, so for now no plans on adding hd or changing gpu, btw, can i push my cpu more than a few mhz with this psu if my mb and rams permit?

I haven't said specifically that the Enermax wouldn't cope with that system and a power supply upgrade was necessary. What I was trying to say is get a power supply with a few more watts just in case you want to overclock to the max, fit a more powerful graphics card or throw 6 or 7 new hard drives in. Futureproof that's all.

Also helps with noise levels if they are not working too hard, good to have a little in reserve - something else to consider as well as futurproofing? smile.gif
