Whats the Best PSU for 75 dollars. i will need a good amount of power for every thing i am running.

pricewatch my young padowan. Antec would be good IMO for that price, however I picked up a 600W Powermax for my gaming machine for $35, my friend has about 30 of em in a box, and we have all never had problems with them.

Antecs come with a 3 year warranty, i dont know what the others have but u cant beat an antec true power, as it has dedicated 12v and 5v lines unlike other power supplies, i garantee that the other psu wont supply all 600watts with its 12v/5v lines loaded up.

Yea but the point is is that its half as much money. All i KNOW is that I have 3 4800-5200 RPM fans ALL RUNNING at MAX speed (92mm delta, 120mm ystech, and 80mm tornado), ontop of 2 cheap 80mm clear case fans, a 15k scsi drive, 7200 WD, 1 Cd rom, 1 Cd-rw, floppy.... Yea i think you get the point, And my rails are still NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BEING FULL smile.gif

LoL its like dejavu with you typicalsloan last time you stated that my PSU had 300W, of power. I say again I dont think I could run my cpu at 300watts let alone my whole computer and devices in my sig???
And the PSU has Over-Current/ Over-Voltage Protection &
Short Circuit Protection on all outputs

Quote - TypicalSloan- well i think if you loaded both rails up, sure, its not goin to give you 600watts. Thats where antecs true power dedicated output circuits for the 12v and 5v lines come into play. While your psu probably has a combined output limit of probably half of what it says. But if your not goin to load up the psu with lights and lots of fans then it should work fine for you.

biggrin.gif As long as they stay there you will not, it's when you plug them in that trouble starts laugh.gif

LoL I meant he purchased like 30 of em and installed them on all the servers at work. Gave me one, and we have been running some of them for over a year now smile.gif.

glad your happy with them, that isnt really alot for even a 300w ps to handle. Ive run 7x120mm fans, 5x80mm fans 4x12in ccfls, 2 7200rpm drives,2xcd drives and a 9800pro. All on a 430w enermax rock solid.

But hey, as long as your happy with it. Im just suggesting a good supply that will handle upgrades well into the future while still being under warranty.

I have the enermax 465P, it really caps your budget but I swear this thing is the greatest PSU to date. Stable as a rock on my duallie, I am thinking of picking up another for my Athlon 64.

My Enermax 465 VE FC is the best I have ever owned with a 92mm and a 80mm fan. Running 6x80mm case fans, 3 Maxtor 7200 HDD's, Vantec Aeroflow with TMD fan, and an ATI Radeon 9000 Video card with a fan.

My rails are currently as follows:

3.3 volt - 3.44
5.0 volt - 5.08
12.0 volt - 12.10

And all show no fluctuation when running with full load overclocked at 2467mhz.

I love it!
