So I have an old chenming case that I want to paint up. Wonder if you guys that have done it have any tips/hints to make it go as smooth as possible. Any paint work better than others? Should I scuff it before priming? Primer/sealer or just regular old primer? thanks!!

Here's one of the best guides to painting a case I've ever found:

Thanks for the links guys. I just got done putting the side window in it. Well kinda, as I now have to wait for frozen cpu to send me enough of the rubber widow molding to go around the damn thing. Gonna pick up some flat black tommorrow and start the painting and hopefully it will be in sometime before it is done drying. Gotta work out all of the placement for the wires aso so I can cut some holes for easier cable management.

If you're going to use spray paint, use Krylon Acrylic or Montana Cans (which are used for tagging for their excellent can pressure and results.)

I paint cars and trucks for a living and I use PPG paint myself. I have a case under way right now. Cut the top out of it last week to install a Rad for W/C. Will post pictures some time this week
