I got the cm stacker 830 evo (black), and an evga 320mb ko geforce 8800gts.
The problem is, it seems to be seated firmly in the slot, but the middle of the cards double bracket is getting hung up between the little slots for bracket tabs at the bottom near the mobo tray.

At the top of the bracket, where you screw it in to make it secure, it's raised up off the bracket "frame" about an 8th of an inch, maybe a little less. bit it's supposed to sit on there flush and screw down nice and tight. Anybody else have this problem with the same hardware? I measured the cards double bracket and the filler bracket, and they are the exact same lenght, but the filler bracket doesn't restrict it from sliding into it's bottom tab. That's how i know it the middle of the cards bracket trying to sit in 2 bottom seperated tab holders holding it just above the top so it isn't flush. I can see it too.

Anybody have the same problem? what should i do?

Edit; Never mind, problem resolved. I tried to put "resolved" in the main cases thread but couldn't figure out how to do it.

Black and decker time. Your either going to need to modify that double PCI bracket by cutting or filing the middle down to sit flush, or elongate the slots that the double PCI bracket fits into.

Yeah, i was thinking of a way to elongate the tabs for the cards double bracket or maybe even just pull them off. I'm not going to mess with the video card though. It has a lifetime warrenty, and it costs a prety penny too. I did rip the tab end off my x800xt pe I'm using right now cuz it was actually so long it was touching the case in back of the motherboard.

I was hoping someone who has the same case and relatively same card would post if they had this problem and what they did.

Edit; Ya know, after thinking about what to do and an incompatibility issue with two of the most popular, expensive pc components made, this is one of the stupidest issues I've ever run into. This case is not compatible with double slot video cards? And nobody else has this problem? Did not stacker know about DS coolied cards? I have to break my $250 case so my video card will fit? Unf***ing believable.
And yeah, I'm pissed.

Well, i pm'd a forum member that has almost the same setup i do, and he told me there are 2 little "spring tabs", whatever the hell stacker was thinking when they made this case, they must have been either drunk or doing some really good acid, or has a sadistic sense of humor, because evidently it's a real pain in the arse to get that little bracket tab to fit in between these little spring tabs.

I was told to get that tab in there 1st, before seating the card, or it won't go in. Thanks for all your help and sharing your experience with me, fellow stacker 830 case owners! :dog:

This thread has over 100 views. Nobody that has the same case has posted a response. I gotta tell ya, I'm a bit dissapointed, because apparently, this is not an isolated issue. I had to pm a couple people here who have the same case and only one responded.

This is supposed to be a support forum. The only person who posted a response is someone who I don't even know has the same case or not, but at least had the courtesy to help another member out. I had a rough day with wrestling with this issue and posted something that was out of character for me, so i deleted it.

So I had to resort to checking out coolermasters site. I didn't know they have a forum. I didn't think a pc case warranted a forum, but i guess they do. At least this one does. Cuz for the money we pay for this case and the problems so many people have with it are unacceptable, as a number of people point out in the forum.

I guess what I'm getting at is, i don't know why only 2 people have offered help out of over 100 viewers. And i bet a lot of those that viewed it have this case. I have always gotten tons of help with other issues whenever i asked for help. And I've made some good online frineds in this forum and think highly of it and them. And i am grateful for the help.

I am proud to be a member of this forum, because of the way Travis, the mods, and the members unite and make this place a home. I just ask that when people reach out so desperatly as i have, and gotten so little response, that people who have the experience to help, post their suggestions, answers or just share their problems and maybe we can find answers together.
But in the future,

I don't want to have to pm a member who has a simalar rig as mine to resolve the problem. And then hope they have the decency to respond. That defeats the whole purpose of posting, asking for help and seeing the solutions experienced by others. I posted the link to help other members who might have or had the same problem. That way, they can use the search feature and hopefully find my post with the link to the answer to this stupd problem.

Well, after much pushing, pulling, wiggling, i finally got the card to fit. It seems the bracket on the evga card(s) are bent very slightly outwards, forcing you to have to "squirm" the card into the little tab recepticles 1st, then finish by pushing the rear of the card fully into the PCIe slot.

I just want to thank aaaaaalllll the people that have helped me endure this very difficult journey in pc building. My gratitude is endless, my indebtness to the people who put up with my frustration through this process knows no bounds. I just simply could not have done it w/o so much input from so many kind people, who were big-hearted enough to spend so much of their precious time helping me with this project. (credits roll).

What's that? You can't see the credits? Simple, just go into control panel and enable credits rolling. :tooth:
