Wow...that was quick...lol. My bro' in law sent me that pic a few days ago. I didn't know where he got it. Now i know. Ha. Still, a ferpect case for me, kill the cm stacker case i wanted so bad...

Yeah, the stacker is a nice case, but in reality, it would just barely fit on my desktop, even though it's an L-shaped nice one with a hutch kind of thing with 2 racks for cd's-dvd's, and 2 big area's on the sides of it for other pc crap i got, besides all my paperwork.

I was thinking of building a wooden case. I saw a website (forgot where-just google wood pc case) and you'll probably find it. I saw some that had really nice oriental designs, windows that had nice etching and fan grills...etc.

I could use metal parts from my case for the drives, and maybe a frame.
Who knows, the possibilities are endless. And wood is easy to work with.
But then again, i might just keep my case until I upgrade to the next platform.
It's not like i dislike my case, but I'm not thrilled about it either. It's just ok.

So i got lot's of time to think about it before i upgrade. The drumpc thing definatly wouldn't have fit...lol. By the way Schoolslave, you were very quick to point out you saw that case on tom's hardware site. Good detective work! Your teachers would be proud! j/k

lol. Its just that I read that a article a while back when I was searching for unique cases and that case "design" is pretty hard to forget about.

The other case mods I saw there were pretty cool too...especially the pyramid one. And you're right about that drum case being hard to forget...in fact, 'tis a bit on the "fugly" thide of sings.

As we speak, I keep eyeballing that complete rig Robc1880 is selling. My CC is burning a hole in my pocket, and it's just about everything I want...dam. If i wasn't on disability, I'd probably jump on it. I'm getting kinda tired of the "building bug".

My last experience with upgrading to what i have now was a nightmare. The 2gb's of infineon ram wasn't compatible with the single channel mobo and/or cpu, and my amd3400 wouldn't oc for $hit, so i got the mobile, which hates the ram or the mobo or both, and i ended up in a tug-a-war with my pc to try to get everything to play nice. I wanted to hit 3ghz, but i just can't do it even after ocz upgraded my ram for me from ddr400 to ddr500.

I was pulling my freakin' hair out (almost), but it definatly stopped being fun to upgrade and overclock. I'd rather buy a system that has everything (within reason) that i want.
And his rig is very close.
