Ok so cant really explain the reason for why Im doing what Im doing but perhaps someone has an answer to my question...

I have two motors that pull 10V and 7A a piece, they are running off and Antec Trio rated at 650W, I believe it has 3 12V rails rated for 18A a piece. I can power the motors for a period of 5 seconds however the power is then lost and the motors stop. I would like to run them continuously for an infinite amount of time...

I am connecting the motors to Molex connectors on the PSU

Any ideas or help with the issue would be greatly appreciated.

What are the model number(s) of the fans?

Don't know if it applies to Antec PSU's because I haven't read the data sheet, but with my silverstone there is a certain amount of current draw needed on the 5v rail with a certain amount of current draw on the 12volt rails. It will not run with a heavily loaded 12v and an unloaded 5v rail. May be the same with your trio.

Actually we got it all worked out the fans being used were meant for model Airplanes, I had to use the 12v line for the fans, but we got a working setup, just so happens that the bearings in the motors for the fans werent all that great and we melted a couple of them...thanks for the replies though
