1. I did NOT "ask you", but if you asked my girlfriend, she would agree with you. Are you a girl too? Come to think of it, she might say i was a big waste of space in this home as well.
Thanks for your input.
ETA: "Location: brooklyn, nyc!" ah, that explains it! Im in South Carolina and we actually have homes with over 400 square feet of living space here.

Rackmount server case! SWEET :beer
You could make a great entertainment center out of that; a few rackmount amps, some 150+W speakers, plus H2O cooled PC makes one hell of a media center PC; oh don't forget a projection screen.

IMO.
AWESOME! That will take alot of thought as to what and how thats going be transformed. I say powdercoat for the case when you have it all modded and ready to go.
You might take those pictures and go over to Mod Nation and get some ideas from the awesome modders there.

ooeric, I apologize for the sarcastic response. Yes its BIG. Yes its a waste of space. DAMN its HEAVY! However, I got it for next to nothing. My "workbench" is covered up with ham radio equipment, test equipment, soldering irons & tools, etc. I CAN'T move the monitor, keyboard & mouse off the bench and still use the computer, but I can put the computer in it, printer in it, etc. It should also shield some of that computer generated RFI (radio frequency interference), which is always a concern with the ham radio stuff.

i guess thats good if you ground the rack to something. it would prevent alot of RFi
but its still friggin big. haha
