Well I finally built myself a nice rig. My last rig was built with outdated components but it served it's purpose. I'm stoked with my new setup...it runs so great and I haven't started tweaking anything yet. You can see most of the parts I used in my sig. :tooth: The CPU temps idle at around 22-24c and about 38-40c full load.
The guts:

Mmmm....

Matrox Orbital

Lapped E6400

Nice...some of that stuff looks kinda familar lol. That case is freakin huge. I want one. Makes my plain looking full tower look wimpy compared to yours. Oh and just some advice, if you ever have to barricade your door I think that case would do the trick.

Man, your system/rig looks awesome! In fact your case just gave me an idea. That chair you got is the same as what I got too. I'm a carpenter and been lookin' at others build for ideas and yours just gave me one. Thanks for great pix man. Great job.

It's a Matrox Orbital MX434...it's also a fan controller. It comes with some software that lets you feed MBM settings into to monitor temps, read FRAPS, media info, weather, etc. It's a little pricey but I love it.

I love the case so far...has lots of room. My main uses are gaming...but it's also my everyday rig. Online college courses, web browsing, etc.

I wasn't referring to the case (because it's grounded) so much as to the parts actually. Wouldn't that cause static?

I had the mobo sitting in the plastic tray it came in...never let it touch the carpet and the cpu stayed in the package until i lapped it then went straight to the mobo after I was done with that. I probably should have been more careful though...thats a lot of scrilla sittin there

I didn't notice the motherboard was still in the tray. It's probably fine then.

I have a question. Can you flip the motherboard around to the other side of the case like BTX style?
This is like my case.

They sell a backplate you can buy that allows for BTX form factor mounting.

Love it so far..but I haven't OC'd yet so I can't comment on how it performs with a heavier load. All reviews I've read though give nothing but praise for this PSU.

Install Folding At Home if you want a heavy load (and to help science and this forums team

). My Corsair 620 performs like a champ. I've been running folding at home on my computer probably well over a week straight and it hasn't so much as hiccuped.
