from what i understand, there is the ultra-d and sli-d, ( i may be off on the d's or dr's but pardon me), i no that the ultra can be bios modded to be sli, but why would dfi make a product that has 2 pci-e slots, and not be sli?

Who knows, but its a damn fantastic board, lol. DXG dosnt really make sense to me either, i guess its just to make the board a bit cheaper so it appeals to a broader audience.

i think dfi made a not native sli board exactly like the sli board to save money on manifacturation of those, since the pinout of the chipset is the same, they pnly had to do 1 pcb and i can fit all the original nf4 serie
and that give us the choice to buya cheaper baord (ultra-D) and mod it to SLI and do some blink blink
