I recently got a ultra-d mobo, and started looking into modding it to sli..
I was wondering..
Are all of the versions moddable? I heard nvidia was going to stop them from being modded through Software/hardware?
Doe s the bridge have to be from a Lanparty board? I have a flexable asus one that "might" fit. If it did, would it work?

if u got it recently, then ur most likely outta luck, I think they stopped being modable after a certain revision.

As for question # 2 a ASUS Flex-Bridge will work fine.

I dont suppose anyone knows the last model that supported the mod?

I got this board in February. As far as i know the only thing nVidia has done to prevent this mod is put a small amount of epoxy over teh pins that need to be bridged. I've done the mod myself(pencil) and it's been working fine.

For the record it's modable regardless. Just need to scrape away at the epoxy until the pins are exposed. Then bridge the pins with a #2 pencil.

If you looked in the thread GripS linked to,you'd know every Ultra D ever made can be modded to Sli.
If I get a bridge I may find out 1st hand how good it runs w/2x7900GTO:p

I was thinking of modding it even before I get a second 7600gt. But i have heard if you mod it then you can put the card in the second slot and get better perforance? I dont know why you would but I read it somewhere...

Just noticed the PSU your running. You'll need to get a better one if you plan on running SLI.
