This would be my first time building a computer ina full tower case. I thought my last one, an Aspire X-Cruiser, which was just too small and a a bit flimsly for me and my buff bod...... so i need something a bit more heavy duty and bigger. i have been looking around and i like

I have an armor. After using it I hate those doors that cover drive bays. biggrin.gif

It's a big case, heavy too if you get the black one. And the "wings" need a lil velcro to hold em closed. But I do really like the case.

You might want to look at this case, as well

Solid overall build, aluminum, and looks cool. I have one, and it has been my favorite case, so far.

I just got a Lian Li v2000 to house al my W/C gear. Looks great, brilliant build quality, plenty of mod potential, and a shit load of room.

The Silverstone TJ07 is also a very nice option.

this is an easy one. get a coolermaster stacker stc-01 (it comes in many colors - here is an SVC.com link). also make sure to get an extra 4-in-3 drive cage for the added cooling.

i can understand that. but if you are looking for functionality, then it is hard to beat. i love the fact that i can do an inverted ATX layout and have plenty of room to add a second PSU in the future (my ATI R600 is going to need one smile.gif ).

QFT: this is a great case. Very adaptable to your needs, easily modded without too much effort. Fitted for 2 psu's. Enough room to swing several cats in. It's adaptable to the upcoming btx spec too.

i'd recommend the NZXT Zero.

space for 6x 120mm fans, which includes dual 120mm's lined up in the back for a dual 120mm RAD...

plus it has very subtle lighting effects and is a trasnlucent smoke color in places.

I just took a look at that one you posted... And it's got some serious cooling and mod potential. If I ever need a new box for air cooling, I'm all over that! biggrin.gif However I don't want to mount a Rad on the outside and figured out a great way to use my extra drive bays in my armor to mount a 360 rad biggrin.gif

Though after looking at it, I'm seeing all sorts of places to mount rads in that thing... Hmmmm....

that looks like a decent case. but the fan wiring on the side panel looks like crap. they could at least make that look better. one set of molex connectors instead of four.

Well if a fan were to die, the end user would then need to solder a new one on to the connector. I think they did it for ease of replacement. Though all those fans have to give some nice airflow over the board.

As you can see, lots of opinions about cases. Lots of picky little comments about this, and that. I would just go with something that "you" feel comfortable with. Just because someone on here raves about how great a case is, the fact is you might hate it.

that is really the only way to go. you can try to make an informed decision based on what others say, but only you know what you really need/want and you have to find a case that meets that. places like comp USA has some of these cases in stock if you want to see them in person first. (i am pretty sure they carry the stacker and the antec p180 to name a couple.)

My v2000 has a ton of space - as in space for a quad heatercore. The Armor is a great option. My buddy has two - both withdual heatercore WCing - internally installed. He just crammed the dual rad into the front of each case, verticall. There's room for a shroud, and 38mm fans, as well. The Armor is nice because it has that extra HD cage next to the PSU (holds 3 drives), so you can take advantage of the front bays for rad placement. He has the black one - and it stays at home. Fully loaded - it weighs 65 pounds. His silver one (actually the Kandalf - same case, different front end) isn't too bad for weight. Just remember that once you install a rad, 2-3 waterblocks, the extra fans and pump, etc - any box will be on the heavy side. His cases look great - nice and clean, with excellent temps for watercooling. My case:
