Very interesting concept and build. However, I for one think silence is way overrated. I know people strive to get PCs quieter than my laptop, but even with a HTPC I cannot fathom the whispers of sounds ever causing any problems to me. Perhaps it is underpowered inefficient speakers and amplifiers and not the PC they should examine

All in all though it is an excellent mod and even though it only has 8 gigs of storage, can you imagine the speed? I wonder if those cards could support 2GIG DIMMs, at least then you could have 16GIGs RAID, and maybe a 250-500GIG external for storage.

same here i mean as long as it doesn't soun dlike a giant ware house fan and it does it's job and isn't annoying it is fine,but that system looks well different lol i never new you could use sticks of ram in place of a hdd but as you said throw on a external 200gig drive or so and it is just like a normal rig but faster.
