Im planning on doing the SLI mod, and a few qestions came up:

1) I thought I read somewhere, that DFI and nvdia have come up with a way to not make the mod work?
2) Where should I get the SLI bridge??? The link from the guides dont work, or dont lead to an SLI bridge.
3) How do I connect the connectors on the chipset?? Or with what do I connect them?
schoolslave
could I use this SLI bridge with my mobo?????

1) No. There is no possible way they can make the SLI mod not work.
2) The bridge you found in post #2 will work.
3) If you read the guide, the leads on the chipset can be connected with either a pencil, or a Circuitwriter pen from Radioshack.

Ok, so the bridge will work??Good. l use a cirsuit writer pen then. I also heard tho, that there was some epoxy or watever on the the cipset to preven the sli mod from working?

Later boards do have epoxy covering the connection points. I use an emery board and just go a few passes at a time till the contacts shine through. Then just connect the dots.

Yep, just file the epoxy down VERY carefully, then "connect the dots" as unleashed said.

So what would I use to clean off the epoxy, and what exactly is epoxy??? lol im from germany so i have no idea. srry.

Epoxy is a hardened adhesive. You dont clean it off, you scrape it off as it is hardened, like superglue.

oh, ok. And after i do the mod, should I do a CMOS clear?
unleashed
Clear the CMOS. Anytime I have a board out and doing something to it I just throw the CMOS jumper to clear while I do the work then move it back when it's time to boot.

Ok, Thanks for all your help, cant wait for my SLI-board ^^

I have a really easy way to go about this. Take off the stock chipset cooler and clean off the chipset with some rubbing alcohol (91% works very well). Now tape off everything but the two pins with the epoxy then take some form of sandpaper/file and grind off the epoxy till the contacts shine through but dont grind off too much. Then take a circuit writer (I know your probably not able to get it from radio shack just showing you it) and connect the contacts. It's very easy oh and while you have the chipset off you might aswell slap on a VC-RE (if you buy through this link the street gets some money so it can stay up).
