Ok, I'm looking for what may be an odd item. What it is is the pci card retention / mobo port part of a case. I know the plexi cases have a one part metal thingie in there that only takes up the ammt of space that is needed. I know I could chop the entire back off a a computer and work with that, but I was looking to find just the part I needed instead of buying an entire case...

If any of you guys have ever seen just that part, or a dirt cheap plexi case that I can get one off, please let me know. And yes I've searched everywhere on the web I could think of to find one.

Thanks for looking! New rigs need new cases... and I want a totally custom case... So I need random case parts and I don't want to chop any of my expensive cases to get the parts, and cheap cases are just too weak...

See if you can get an old computer. If not I could probably hook you up with some old case parts. They are very strong not cheap aluminum stuff in the cheap cases of today.

I just remembered after you said that, I have an old computers framework, all the internal structure minus the front / side / top / bottom. So if I have to chop I have a nice steel case to work with. But I'd still rather find the part than go on a dremel spree cause I know from experience that the steel in that case is tough stuff... Heck it used to be used for a lan party chair... And I'm not a small guy...

Thanks clocker, I guess that's even better than just the back part... I get something to mount the mobo to as well! And it gives me a new site to search for parts smile.gif
