On the tutrial as shown Here
ExRoadie Saying that we need to rub pencil beetween the two dots too make SLI-D to be activated.
The rub pencil as i understand do a Short beetween the dots right?
So why we can't to welding beetween the dots or we can?

You could bridge them with a conductive pen or solder, but there really isn't a point when a pencil works just fine. If your confident with your soldering skills go for it!

So the rub pencil just bridge beetween the dots?
So what flakes can remain when do it with a pencil?

I did just that with soldering but with no luck, but the board still works fine, and I do have experience in soldering.(purchased the board earlier this year) could there be were I read nvidia doing something to it to prevent us from doing this.

i did m mod with a defrost repair kit,

i didnt weld it because if you Need to rma the board or womething like this the mod will be removable

dont think they gonna laugh if you rma a ultra-d that post has SLI-d

my 2 cents

Get some compressed air and blow off the excess before mounting the chipset HSF back on and you should be fine. Be sure to do this while the board is outside of the case. You need to take the board out to PROPERLY remove the HSF anyway. Just using a pencil worked perfectly fine in my case. The hard part was scraping ever so carefully at the epoxy to expose the pins needing to be bridged.

You have to scrape of the epoxy covering of the two spots...use an exacto knife and Be careful. If you don't do this, you won't be able to bridge the two. Obviously, because they are covered in clear epoxy

I have two more question:
1.I understood that because nvidia using the same chipset Nforce 4 for all the board
and just enable what they want.
So if that case u can enable SLI right?
But we need that the board will support it throw a jumpers
So here we using the DXG support in Ultra-D?

2.After doing this mod next time for updating bios will be the Ultra-D bios or SLI-D?
GripS_merged
The chipset is simply a disabled SLI chipset. The motherboard itself is pretty much the same as the SLI-D. Once you mod the chipset in order to use SLI you will need to move the jumper blocks located between the 2 pci-express slots.

No need to flash the bios. If the mod is done correctly you will see nforce SLI on the post screen.
Wh1t3
I know i will see it but what next whe new Bios will be around?
I will still use Ultra-D Bios right?
s10man69
YEs, you still use the Ultra-D BIOS...
GripS_merged
It is my understanding that the bios for the standard nf4 lanparty motherboards(not the experts or venus) are the same. So yes you will still use the ultra-d bios updates.
