Is it true that Nvidia blocked in the new board's of Ultra-D?

I believe they only epoxied the 2 pins. You'll have to scrape it off if you want to mod it to SLI.

i dont think they could prevent a hardware mod...
unless they sneak into your house and glue the chipset fan to the board

Yup. Get yourself a magnifying glass, an exacto blade(or a fine pick) and keep that hand steady. Be patient. Once the contacts are exposed pencil in a trace between the two pins.
