I want to remove my AC NV. 5 Silencer and remount it with AS5 and clean off the die. I think the first time I mounted it I got a hair on the die or something because my temps are not the best.

However, I need to get the back plate off first. That is attached to my card via a very strong thermal adhesive. Its just the stock thermal adhesive.

My question is fairly simple, how do I get this @!#!$!% !@#! off?

do the twist. if you can twist it like your unscrewing a bottle top. after a few twists, start to gently pull up. repeat until it comes free. if you cannot apply a twitsting motion, then try heating the heatsink with a hair dryer to loosen the paste. then gently pull up.

First make sure you run your system for like 5-10mins to get the thermal compound hot so it will come off easier. Second use 99.9% alcohol with a q-tip to remove any thermal that you need. Good Luck....
