do i need a different tip, etc?
havent done much soldering since my electronics class in HS 2 years ago, so if anyone could help, that would be helpful.

I used the same tip and some wic. That's all you really need.

Soldering iron should melt the solder on the connection enough for you to pull the wiring off pretty easy. Tad bit of solder when you hook it back up. Only need a little bit, don't need a hug glob of solder on there lol.
