i have run into a big problem. i decided to make my keyboard black and painted it. i was planning on switching the keys with black keys from another keyboard i have which isnt working, but the hole shape doesnt match up! i dont mind painting each key i have, but how can i paint it so the lettering and numbers dont get painted over? or, is there some kind of keyboard alphabet sticker thing i can buy to just put on all the buttons?

Just paint over the keys, and then with a fine tip brush and different color paint, make your own lettering.

Or you could put pieces of tape over the face of each key and paint the sides of each key...that would look interesting

You could go to a vinyy shop and have them make you a set of #'s and letters to sick on em' than put a clear coat over it.

im considering doing this since it sounds th easiest and i wont have to replace any of the letters. or i might keep it the way it is, black board with tan buttons hehe.

also... you can buy a label maker ($100 for 2 line)... paint the keys, then use the label maker to print the letters off on a clear tape.

I got mine at Wal*Mart. I know Staples, Office Depot, Office Max, and a few other places sell them.
You can get a 1 line maker cheaper.. but the 2 line would probably be best for the number and character keys.

why spend 100$ to make labels when you can spend 30$ and get a black keyboard.

yah i could always buy a black keyboard, but then what would i do with this one? i probably wont spend 100 bucks on a labeler, but i'm still looking for more ways to replace all the letters, numbers, and symbols while still retaining that professional look. i dont think the black keyboard and beige buttons looks that bad. what other colors go with beige? i was trying to go for an all black look, but i guess that wont happen. my monitor is that beige/white looking color. so was my keyboard. any other colors i can paint it?

on a side note is there soemwhere where i can check how much of my psu is being used by my system? im in need of some more y cables to feed power to some stuff i just bought, but am afraid i may be using up a lot of watts. i have a 450w psu powering the stuff in my sig, 4 80mm fans, and a disco light.
