Ok i have read the mod and am going to attempt this. But instead of using the peencil or conductive pen, cant you simply solder the 2 points together. I can pro solder and have soldered things smaller than this in the past?

So can these to points be simply soldered together, or is something stopping me from doing this that i should know about before attempting.
