Everyone,

I have a 7800gt and I was wondering how to volt mod it. I have an arctic cooling silencer on it, but I could add a loop to my watercooling if required. I am pretty handy, so if it involves soldering something I am game. Thanks.

Here is a post that will give you some reference to get you started. I will try this as well when I get my own system up and running.

2 ways to do this, hardmod and softmod. softmod instruction is in that link above, its a bios-flash method.

hardmod u can find in google or the forum on mvktech.net. basically soldering a couple of variable resistor on the vcore and vmem. then u can increase it ever so slowly to some higher volts. IMO for the core, it doesnt help anything above 1.5V. u can do that with softmod.
but vmem mod seems to help...i was going to try it, but now im getting a new card smile.gif
