 Is there any way I can put 2x 7800 GTX on my motherboard, configured for SLI and have enough power with my power supply? Thx..

i am confused by your sig.
have you modded you ultra-d for SLI or are you using a different board?

If you just bought that board "Ultra-D" it needs to be modded to SLI-D before you attempt a two video card SLI installation. You'll need a better quility PSU for sure.
An idea...

Sorry I didn't see the las t of your reply stating the 520 wwatt power stream.
Would I have enough power for 1 7800 gtx 512?

Antec NeoPower are very quality PSU's. PC Gamer rated it way better than OCZ
I only buy Antec or Enermax

I'd consider another gig of ram and a single 1900xt or a 512meg gtx

Yeah I was considering getting the 1 gtx 512 so i dont have to go out and get another PSU. I'll get the 1 gig of ram later. Games just aren't that demanding right now. Thx for your help.

Right now I got 2x512 of corsair. Is there any way I can get 2 more sticks of 512 that will run properly with my existing ram? Thx

The board does not like 4 stix. Sorry. Occaisionally someone does get them to work, but only after major curses and such. The best route is sell the 2 X 512 and buy 2 X 1024.

With SLI Power its simple - does the PSU have 2 PCIe Power cables? If not - and you add an adapter - SLI especially 7800GTX's will murder it (spoken from experience). The Antec Neo Range 480W should suffice - but I would recommend an SLI Certified PSU.

ive run sli 7800GT's with my previous TT 430watter that came with my case for 2 months without a problem.
even put my multimeter on the 12v rail and measured what the volts were.. idling it stayed around 12.25, during fear or some other game, it woudl drop to around 12.15-12.2 volts.
perfectly fine in my opinion.
i just bought this 600watter for the modular plugs heh

You'd definitely need a better power supply. The requirements are of course different for all the cards. The 512's required greater than 600W, and the vanilla GTX's just required between 500-600W which was more than adequate.
I got a couple more cards coming in which I will be playing around with. So far, with two GT's, not a problem with a 600W. You honestly get what you pay for. Quality, a nice look, and strong adjustable rails - so, OCZ Powerstream ADJ600W.

I dont understand why everyone cuts on Antec right away. It was the same thing when I bought my rosewill 500w PSU. Everyone ripped on them and told me how crappy they are and both of them worked fine. I saw no difference from going from the Rosewill and I'm actualy saving it to give to one of my brothers. The antec TP 550W 2.0 will have plenty of power, its almost totally 100% silent, and it comes with plenty of cables and 2 PCIX connectors along with being sli certified. I dont want to sound like I'm trying to make my "crap" sound cool but why spend so much money on a power supply just because a couple people had bad experience with them. I would buy the antec again because there would be no reason not to. My 2c thanks, Dan :tooth:

Nvidia recommends:
High-End: GeForce 7800 GTX or GeForce 6800 Ultra = 500-550W, +12V @ 30A
http://www.slizone.com/object/slizone_howtobuild_2.html
Anyways
Nvidia should be more specific when they throw around the "SLI Certified" approval.
Are the most power hungry cards tested or a pair 6600 non-GT's ?
Anyone with Nvidia testing procedures or know what the lowest output SLI certified PSU is?
Edit::Antec NeoPower NeoHE 380 ATX12V 380W Power Supply (SLI Certified)

Think this would power 2x7800GTX ?

I'm totally with you danz - Antec is a quality brand that suffices to do an excellent job - I have never had an issue in 5 years of Antec. (3 PSU's) Like most brands they have had they're bad runs and unhappy users - I unlike most prefer not to be derogatory of makers I have bad experiences with - Shit happens.
I'm still running an Antec 350W in a Server box - 5 years
I 'm running a SM 2.0 500W in my sons machine - 2 years
I killed a SM 2.0 500W in my machine but you can see why if you look at my sig.
My new PSU TP 2.0 550W - well I've only had that a couple of weeks so we'll see.

I've had mine for 6months now and it has never let me down. The only thing I didnt like was the fan connectors that didnt have enough power to start up my 120mm fans. Otherwise its great. It wont let you down. thanks, dan

For SLI the best bet is PC Power and Cooling either 850 or 1100. Antec can't touch this.

But do you really need this? The antec is sli certifide and has enough power to run two cards. And I think the trend in the future is going to start requireing less power. Like the 7800 requires less power than the 6800 ultra and the new amds are supposed to require less power. Look at your computer thats crazy expensive. The average builder puts a good rig together and sticks with it. You could go to the poor house contantly having the best.

The only OCZ psu I would buy is the powerstream 600w. All others have single 12 volt rails so let's squash that nonsense.. OCZ also only guarentees 5% tolerance versus Antec's 3%. Both brands are excellent and meet DFI/ATI/Nvidia current needs. Ok, enough about once brand better than other...
Antec is great but I would not use the NEO lines because of the low 5 volt current supply. The NEO power is good because they upped the 5 volt current draw to acceptable levels. Two Nvidia GTX would not exceed 480 watt current draw using stock CPU voltage and keeping the harddrive/DVD drives to a minimum. Which by your sig already brings this to question using two harddrives and an unknown amount of cd/DVD drives.
The Nvidia 7800 chip has less current draw than the previous 6800 line and less than the current ATI superstar (x1800/1900). According to many reputable reviews using current setups at stock voltages with a single video card, single harddrive, and single DVD drive, the consumed wattage did not exceed 250 watts. Adding a second card would be possible as the additional card would not consume more than 150 watts which brings your total consumption around 400 watts.
This does however put a high amount of constant stress on your power supply since it was running around 55% load and with the additional card will have a near constant load of 83%. So to those rolling their eyes at my comments I do agree that a 520 watt or higher PSU would be better for future reliability but his question was would the NEO Power meet the power needs.
