After.
I put wire molding on the floppy cables to try to be 'rounded' since I can't make a order for actual rounded.
But after I celeaned up the wiring a little bit I got a 3 degree case drop. I'm happy, processor is running cooler and I did a V11+ 'mod' as you might say and made a 3.5" bezel the knob to turn it since I was tired of the ugly 5.25" they supply and the PCI is just a b*tch to get to when your trying to turn it down on and off quickly without movement (or a whole lot).
Well, for a first time I think it looks decent.
I'm going to paint the chassis some day, and I'm going to go with a green theme since blue is sooo commonly used.
Enjoy.

I love these new case temps ...
Expect to see more

I'm going with a green theme I think, blue's too overused. But we'll see when it comes time for the order and the painting of the chassis and stuff. I think I'ma sandblast it and get it professionaly flat black powdercoated I think, than green CC's inside with blue UV reactive.

... so when your temps start rising ... do his spidey sences start tingling?
aquiesce
Sep 9 2003, 10:52 AM
No the temps went up and he said "crap man its real hot in here I think I'll spin a web around some of this appauling wiring and see if I can drop the temp in here!!"
And low and behold........

It was just a quick job but its better and it only cost me £2.49
Plus if you wanna be really picky sholiz34's wiring wasnt half as bad as mine was to start with nor does he have a many wires in there so nerrrr..

Meh ... No, I have the Antec SB1040, you got a Thermal Take it looks like.
I'm looking foreward to:
Painting my chassis
Getting a new side door *messed mine up majorly*
(Or getting a whole new case)
Cold Cathodes
Another HD
New memory
New mobo
Some ThermalTake fans with 4800RPM over these 2800RPM 15CFM Antecs *shakes fist*
Any suggestions? The hole saw did some mess ups around the edges

made me angry. I could aways cut within a inch around it to hide some of the mistakes. But we'll see when I get some $$$ ... It's hard being 14.

Yeah the antec is just a thermaltake clone as are a lot of others, I think there are some very subtle differences though.
I am currently making a window (custom one) as i dont have one im gonna leave the zig zag shape in the metal side cover though it'll look sweet

Yeah no probs just cut one part of it out but the zig zag design i got in mind is proving too difficult at home with my jigsaw so I will take it to work tomorrow and use the Plasma cutter on it I'l start a new thread with it as this one is getting long and i like to start new threads

I love these new case temps ...
it's suprising what a difference in cleaning up all the wiring does to the air flow.
my case temp would sit around 89°F, I split lumed EVERY wire with 1/2" luming.
the mass of wires on the power harrness to the Mobo was seperated into 3 groups and all was done, my temp now sits at 77°F.
clean n pretty too.

Here is a look at by rig's belly. Lot of wiring but twp PSU's, 7 case fans, an xtra VGA cooling, 2 fan grills, mem cooling and a CCL are adding in wiring. The two PSU's are hooked together using a 12V relay, closed by PSU#1 once started. PSU #2 starts automatically. It is xtra cooled by intake and an outake fans. Wiring management took time, any suggestions ...

First thanx. Ghost2520, always appreciated. Second, not that I really care but if Slong69's post was for me, just notice that the duct is already in place.

Heres how i did mine, wire loom most of the place, other places just tuck and hide. good places to hide the wires are the drive bays and behind the psu, happy modding!
