I have a p4 ready power supply but its running an amd system. I dont really need the extra cabling thats for a p4. Is it possible to remove all the wires? If so where would i cut them at?

dont even bother with it just tie it up and stuff it in a corner of your case. You might screw it up if you cut it. I just tied mine up.

Yep, I would just move the excess wiring into a corner away from the other components

Its tied up in a corner but its kind big so it takes up alot of space. oh well.

The extra cord isnt that big i mean if you cut the wireties that may or may not be on the power supply cabling, the extra cord could fit behind the psu depending on the case you have.

I answered a similar post here in another thread.
I have 2 ps one 400w and another one 350 both have only the power cables(regular female molex) and the one inside has the mobo cable+ power.I had to cut them off i have a clear case and hiding is out of the question, and it works just fine.
I've cut them at about an inch off the ps circuit board and heat shrink them,
Actually i used the pentium molex(2yellow,2 black to power the 2 led fans i've put in the PS on the one inside the case, cause of the extra power needed to juice the led fans.
On the pic below you see the two cables and the mobo cable (the one with the molex on the PS is the second plug comming from the CD drive and powers a fan control thing
I also got rid of the flat 1 inch server molex wink.gif
