would it be worth running 2 6600 video cards in sli mode, for 1 i dont have a bridge because i got a non sli dfi mobo and modded to sli (am working on a lanparty bridge though)

if the nvidia one's can the i will pick 2 up today, unless you all think this is worthless if so then i'm getting 2 evga 6600gt for less than $120 a piece (1 now 1 later) thnx for all the help

:shake: Well at least you admit it. You could sell one if you wanted performance. You can pick up a bridge from newegg. The leadteck one fits.

1x GT is much better than 2x non GT's.
Without the Bridge the Performance Increase is only about 30-40%.
6600+30-40%=6600G not more

Pick up a $200 Sapphire X800 GTO2, mod it and overclock beyond what a X850XTPE can do. Very nice card.

From what I understand, the bridge is no longer avalible from newegg. If that is correct, is there any other way to obtain this bridge? I am about to build this system with a x800GTO. But would like to know if I can obtain a bridge. So I can have a run at sli someday with a modded Ultra-D.

ive got a handful of the gigabyte ones, they fit perfectly but arent half as generic as the leadtek. the blue pcb also makes for a pretty bonus. ive been selling them on ebay for a while now. $20 shipped for anyone thats interested.
