If you want to "paint" (draw over with UV paint) on the wires of motherboards, vid cards. etc. it has already been done.
But it still looks cool!

I'm not sure that there is such a thing as "conductive uv paint" i've seen several mods of of people spraying thier cards and m/b with the stuff...the only thing is to be careful and mask off any electrical connectors (ide, floppy, power, cpu socket, etc) so that they don't get coated and fail to connect.
you can always test it out by spraying a couple coats an old nic card or something that you don't need or can replace easy, just incase.

Once again, thanks OC16 for the link. I'm finally ready to get to ready to do this mod...It'll be a while before its done.
sykocus, thanks also, but I need a pen anyways for my attempt at modding...

Yah, i dont think that UV paint is real "conductive" since that would mean that the paint would have to contain metalic tibits, ... but it doesnt.
The only concern you should have is to avoid short circuiting your electronic. And that means you dont turn on the power while the paint is still wet. You never know if the liquid contains ions (aka, conductive).
So:
dry = safe,
wet = danger

Jul 29 2003, 09:48 PM
yeah let it dry for at least 12 hours in a non-humid area nothing with damp air and u should be aight.

I was thinking of a mod where i take some of that UV pen stuff and write my name on my window.. in chinese (cause im chinese). Would that work or would the pen just get smudged off?
Overclocker16
Jul 31 2003, 06:46 PM
Do it on the inside of the window. This means you have to right backwards. Like on a window, you right it backwards so you can see it out side.
If you write it inside and have UV light on it, that would look sweet.
