I dont feel like finding links...so w/e
3K, oh baby...

Asus AK8N
Opteron 144
4 GB PC2700 ECC from Samsung
Radeon 9800 AIW
36GB 10K SATA drive from WD(?)

rest of the parts from my current case...
3K should cover that laugh.gif

With a system like that for high-end graphics...I would screw the mobo down into the corner of my desk and bulid a retainer to hold fans above it! This way it is on totaly display for everyone to envy..hehe

BTW Devil, the 144 opterons are like testers...u want the 244 opterons and also..that asus mobo is called the SK8N

EDIT: I Think they dont like it when people leave there shopping carts filled up for more than an hour and dont buy anything because i checked to see if that link worked after i posted it and it worked....now it just says "your shopping cart is empty" LOL

a maxtor maxline II ATA/133 2mb cache (300gb) costs $400 so you could get 7 hdd's and have $200 left over. laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif LOL

but u have to remeber...if u were to really do something like that, HDD's arent lightweight u know, its going to cost some money for shipping too.

OK, take back 200GB and use the 200 bucks for shipping.

Still not shure of the inside but it'll definitely be cooled by a prometeia system.

AthalonXP 2200+
MSI KT4 Ultra mobo
Gforce 3 ti200 (64mb)
Volcano 8
Maxtor 40g 7200
52x24x52 cdrw
256mb (elixir no name brand) pc2700 memory (soon to be 512!!)

not to be an jerk, but honestly, you could do so much more than that system. Basically EVERYTHING YOU HAVE could be put up....a lot...and with 3k, you could do a lot.

p.s. i hope you were being sarcastic with your post

If I had that kind of money on hand I would upgrade my video card to an ATI Radeon9800-128mb, add 512more ram and a 19-21" monitor (with aperture grill, at least .23-24 dotpitch) to my current system. And build another system with the exact same hardware as my main system but with a A7N8X deluxe mobo with 2x100GB HDs, AthlonXP 3200+ proc,DVDrom,52XCDRW, 500-600WPSU and the best cooling I could afford(not water) some other stuff
