Interests
I've been working for Booz Allen doing cryptographic engineering and digital security since 1997, after retiring from US Military, serving 23 years. I enjoy working on computers, buying parts and adding upgrades, Testing new programs, fixing old computers and reselling them. I built my first water cooled rig back in the stone age,it was based on the 478 socket, then later started building water cooled socket 775 boards, with some of my favorites being the Asus Rampage Formula board. I have built the Commando board, Maximus Formula X38 and X48 WS Evolution, most all the Asus ROG line up. I upgraded to 1366 socket trying MSI boards but went back to strictly Asus. I am building a X79 system now, with the i7-3930K Sandy Bridge-E, Asus Rampage IV Gene motherboard with the ASUS ARES II water cooled card, On 12-18-2012 Started new build with P9X79 WS board and SLI setup. I will use H-100i for cooling and try to keep system as basic and simple as I can,I am going with the i7-3970X chip only because it will do all my work and play any of my games at stock settings just fine. 5/11/2013 started new dual xeon build, I got a great deal on a open box Asus Z9PE-D8 WS, looking at the E5-2687W's the prices are insane, not Shure about graphics yet, I plan on waiting till June and see if Nvidia releases a GTX700 series card for SLI.
