I have worked in the computer repair business for over 4 years at a local computer store. I have repaired everything from dead fans to blown capacitors.
I have done lots of work on laptops replacing dead/damaged lcd screen, dead motherboards, soldering new AC/DC jacks and even reworking some very high end motherboard on laptops (not everyone wants to pay $$$ to repair a old dell d610).
I now work for a AV company which does board rooms, video conferencing, control rooms.
