Asus ROG Xonar Phoebus OR Asus Xonar D2?

24 May 2012 - 08:35 AM

Hey everyone :D

I'm looking for a new sound card to go with my new Razer Tiamat 7.1 headset.
Money isnt too much of an issue but Asus released their new ROG sound card.
I'm all for their ROG gear, i have their GTX 580 and motherboard both by Asus's ROG.
But i was wondering is the ROG sound card really worth it? Under their discription they seem to have put alot of attention into sound cancelling but i dont really need that as i'm chilled at home when i game.
Any help would be greatly appreciated :D

Thanks all :D

Hello, i'm really hoping that you have a crosshair V mobo and 8 core CPU rather than an Intel user ¬_¬ lol
I was wondering if you would use the overclocking tool however chose to disable 4 of the cores whilst doing it? It's the only way i can get a propper comparrison if you wouldnt mind doing so kindly for me before i buy it?
Thankyou very much if you do :DDD

Hey everyone!
I seem to be having some troubles with my RAM, in the windows rating system they only get a 5.9, and in my BIOS i can't seem to get them to set at the frequency they should be at: 2000Mhz. So they are currently running at 1886 or something around that figure.
They are a single pair of Dominator GT's, 2x2Gb's

When i set the rate to around 2000mhz, my system reboots saying that it has failed to OC, but technically, im not overcloking them :S

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hello everyone!!!
My next upgrade is my RAM, i currently have 4GB of: Corsair Memory Dominator GT 4GB DDR3 2000 Mhz 8-9-8-24
http://www.scan.co.u...ducts/4gb(2x2gb)-corsair-twinx-dom-gt-ddr3-pc3-16000-(2000)-cas-8-9-8-24-dhx-connectorxmp-df-165v

Now then, i can either get the same to have a total of 8GB extremely fast RAM orrrrr:
buy this set: Vengeance Blue 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz 9-9-9-24
http://overclockers....rodid=MY-309-CS

Which are both the same/ish price both affordable.
My build is a trying to be fast with an Asus GTX580 from R.O.G (Republic Of Gamers) And an Asus Crosshair V motherboard (AMD CPU)

Thankyou for your time and if you reply please say why i should choose either or :)
Thankyou all

Possible to "restart RAM"?

25 May 2011 - 11:01 AM

Hello everyone
I know a fair bit about computers but when someone says that its possible to do something you dont believe then you read up on it there are a fair few people that say it's possible to reset your ram memory without shutting down.
My main problem that i'm confused with is that a few games im trying are lagging really bad :(
My computer specs are nice, a 6850 toxic ed. overclocked, 970 quad again occ'd, 4gig at 2000mhz and the game requires:
OS: Windows XP SP2/VISTA/7
Processor: Intel Dual Core - 1,8 GHz (XP/Vista/7)
Memory: 1GB (XP) / 2GB (Vista/7)
Graphics: 256 MB compatible DirectX 9.0c and Shader Model 3.0 (ex.: Nvidia GeForce 7600, ATI Radeon 1600 or higher)
DirectX®: .0c (Windows XP) / Direct X10 (Vista/7)
Hard Drive: 13GB

Hope to hear from you all soon.
Thankyou for reading and i wish you all, all the best
