  1. I'm also very eager to see what this PureVideo technology can do. Can't wait!
  2. Great thats brilliant! I got a nice 2.1 speaker system so thats fine.
  3. Ah thankyou, I didn't know DVI would allow for 1080!
  4. Hi everyone I am going to build a PC soon based on an Athlon 64X2 with a 9800gt. I'm mainly gonna use the machine for light gaming (mmos) and watching DVDs. Ive narrowed my monitor search down to these two. Samsung SM2043NW 20 inch Widescreen Monitor 5ms response, 1680x1050, VGA,
  5. Thanks for the welcome and advice I think I am going to go with the AMD route, you are right it will do everything i need. I was not aware of that problem with the 4 series ati cards, I'll look into an 8/9800gt! And I am aware I'll need a blu-ray drive to watch blue-ray movies hehehehe I'm not that technically un-savvy. Thanks to everyone else for the advice! Much appreciated. *edit* The site I'm getting this all from will be WWW.cclonline.com

I'm going to attempt my first ever PC build soon and this will almost certainly be a dual core set up. I want to use the PC for playing Games and watching movies in High quality/ HD Blu-ray. The sort of games I'll be playing are mainly MMO's WOW/ WAR/ LOTRO and fps like COD4/ CSS. I'm not going to be playing the PC freak game crysis although it would be nice to have a rig capable of this game on high settings at low resolutions (1024 x 768). My current system is nearly 4 years old. Its an AMD Athlon64 3200+ with 1gig of sdram and a gforce 6600le (poor card). I'm either going to build/upgrade to an Athlon64X2, a Pentium Dual core or a Core2Duo platform, an i7 is out of my price range and kinda overkill for what I need. The 3 builds Iv'e chosen are below with their total prices in
