I may buy a new TV, and a web site called FASSIE has the best deal..............but I've never heard of them. Does anyone have any experience with purchasing from FASSIE?

I've always gotten good computer advice from this forum............but the advice is limited for electronics and I want to buy a new TV.
Please help with some suggestions for some good forums, similar to OverclockersClub, that I can go to for some discussion & advice about TV's and electronics.

Are there any wireless mice and/or keyboards that are fast enough to play single-player fps games?? Are they all too slow?
HDMI questions
08 October 2012 - 12:10 PM
I'm considering the purchase of a new 55" TV with an HDMI input on it. I am considering that I may want to use it as the monitor for my computer, but my desktop system is older and does not have an HDMI port.
I saw two ways that I believe may allow me to connect my old desktop system to a TV using HDMI:
If I use the USB method, will that conduct BOTH the audio and video to the TV?
I was looking for an adapter card that would add HDMI, sort of like adding a sound card or something like that, but I did not see anything like that for sale at Newegg.
Any ideas?

help with wireless printer
10 August 2012 - 07:15 PM
I just purchased a Brother HL-2270DW wireless network printer and I'm trying to connect this into my small network.
I began to connect to the network by using the Wi-Fi SETUP buttons, there is one on the printer and there is also one on the router. It seemed that the two devices connected correctly and the printer printed a sheet that said that the WLAN connection is OK. The green READY light on the printer is solid, which indicates a good connection.
BUT, I cannot print because the printer appears to the desktop to be off-line. I am only trying to establish the connection between the printer and the wired desktop first (I'll try to connect using the wireless computer later). When I attempt to print, the document is sent to the printer and I verified that by checking the "see all documents" in the control panel "devices and printers" section. The printer appears to be offline and I'm guessing that is why it won't print anything that is sent to it. I've used the trouble-shooting suggestions on the Brother web site for a printer that appears offline, which suggested creating another port for the printer, but so far nothing has helped.
I had the printer print its wireless settings and everything looks good, IP addresses and subnet mask all look good. The printer IP address is via DHCP which I guess is a function of the SETUP button (I haven't tried to set the IP address manually, not sure if it would do any good).
I'm running out of ideas...........first I want to get the desktop and the printer working, and then I'll need to setup the wireless connection to the notebook computer..............I'm asking for help and suggestions about how to troubleshoot this.
- I have a Linksys E3000 wireless router
- my desktop computer is running Windows7 64-bit and is connected to the router with an Ethernet cable.
- My wife has a notebook computer (also running Windows7 64-bit) that connects wirelessly.
