we've just had a nice 24" Acer widescreen monitor up on the test bench - check it out!

I am in the market for a new monitor as well. I'm debating on a 22" or a 24". This will help me narrow my search.

From the specs such as the viewing angle and the lower 6 bit colour, i would make the assumption that this is a TN panel, not a higher spec PVA or IPS panel

The ASUS website is less than helpful, but the below review has it as a TN panel, which would be logical compared to the price and performance.

yeah, i think ill pass for now ... i want one with PVA so IPS panel ...

but otherwise it looks nice.
