Looks like the 8800 wins at higher res in crysis
I guess thats fine if you are looking for a price cut for the 8800 series, which I am. But when looking for something next gen (the 8800 series entered the seine in 06, yes G92 came later) I guess I find this a bit disappointing. As far as a purchase decision goes everything depends on what the new games in the next year and beyond will require.

While in single card mode they do fall to the 8800GT. They are not meant to compete with each other. Now If you put 2 in SLI the performance increase is much nicer and costs just 300 bucks.
