Well last week, we polled the OCC members on what type of speaker configuration they were running. Along the same lines, this week, for OCC Poll #14, we're asking this: Do you use onboard sound? Or have an aftermarket sound card? With so many people running 5.1 setups, it'll be interesting to see who's actually running an aftermarket card.

HD audio on my 680i and p5wdh is pretty good compared to my other onboard ac97 and audigy.

I use onboard sound but I have been thinking about upgrading one of these days, I have a stereo that plays good enough for me.

im an onboard guy. dont have the greatest speakers so i dont notice much of a difference anyway. i know it spares a little cpu time, but not enough.

i use a pci soundcard, its an old Hercules fortissimo III gamer 7.1 my onboard sounds about the same but the center channel doesnt seem to work unless a dvd is in or some games....other than that it only played 4.1 so i got mad and threw in this old card thats about 4 years old.
