As for lack of awards to for CPU's, SSD's etc there just wasn't enough reviewed this year to be fair so we skipped those completely.

So tell us what you think :) any things we missed in your mind?

I would have liked it stated how the winners and runners-up were actually chosen. Was it simply Wesstron making the determination or was there a debate/discussion amongst all the reviewers that reviewed products in a respective category? It would certainly hold a lot more weight if it's the latter.

Guess it would help if both mine and Frank's name where on it. (This is corrected)

The decisions were made by us three.

There is some other items that are pending to be reviewed right now that may have made our list, but they were not completed in time for this article.

However, we may revisit this again in March, if not look around June or July for a half way through the year article.

Because the GTX780 Ti performs better, overclocks superbly and doesn't pose a fire hazard like the 290x ?  :teehee:

Did you even read Frank's reviews on the GTX780 Ti and R9 290X ? Because if you did, it's clear that the only fanboy is you.

Let's begin shall we ?

Stock Idle Temperatures : http://www.overclock...gtx780ti/15.htm
GTX780 Ti = 29C

R9 290X = 42C

Clear Winner : GTX780Ti

Stock Load Temperatures : http://www.overclock...gtx780ti/15.htm
GTX780 Ti = 80C
R9 290X = 94C
Clear Winner : GTX780Ti

OC Idle Temperatures : http://www.overclock...gtx780ti/15.htm

GTX780 Ti = 27C
R9 290X = 39C

Clear Winner : GTX780Ti

OC Load Temperatures : http://www.overclock...gtx780ti/15.htm

GTX780 Ti = 65C
R9 290X = 67C
Winner : GTX780 Ti

Fan Noise : http://www.overclock...gtx780ti/15.htm

When you listen to the sound emanating from the GTX 780 Ti at 100% fan speed you fail to reach the level of the R9 290X at 50% fan speed. In short NVIDIA has done their homework and delivered cool and quiet, even at maximum fan speed.

Clear Winner : GTX780 Ti

Overclocking potential : http://www.overclock...es/780ti_oc.htm and http://www.overclock...ges/290x_oc.htm

GTX780 Ti = Extra 285MHz on the core and extra 190MHz on the memory
R9 290X = Extra 95MHz on the core and extra 150MHz on the memory

Clear Winner : GTX780 Ti

Benchmark/Gaming Total Wins http://www.overclock..._gtx780ti/4.htm
