Well according to AMD the fps of the Oxide demo goes from 10fps with DX to 30 with Mantle on the A10 7850K... can't complain, but I do want to see other engines that we can relate to with current benchmarks.

It won't be like that for every game, also depends on cpu for now since so far mantle is being cpu optimized atm

Looks like we still need to wait for AMD's 14.1 release.

I played a solid 5/6 rounds yesterday many with a buddy of mine (and he played 3/4 by himself) and neither of us had any sound issues or saw anyone complaining in chat about them so not too sure.  I played on two separate systems and the only real issue I had was getting the error that I needed to install China Rising on my secondary rig when it was already installed kinda frustrating to have to modify the registry so I can play (looks like the repair install would check that)

As for mantle, I think it's really going to shine along with the forcing of CPU threads the game now allows.  Seems that it wont allow you to force extra threads for HT cores (could only get a max of around 55% CPU usage on the 4770K while playing with it forced to 8) For the same buddy I was talking about running an R9 270 with an old Phenom II X3 unlocked to an X4 he should see a nice boost once Mantle supports his GPU.  Certainly seems mantle's biggest ability will be removing the CPU bottleneck for the beginning.

not the catalyst update but the bf4 game update messed with the sound but the repair install ended up taking care of it. really annoying it was always the first round without in game sound just the end of level music. I like mantle though my 260X is getting a decent bump hopefully it gets adapted more

Mantle makes my game run really bad, I have all settings maxed and I get about 60-65 fps max, average about 45, but randomly my fps will drop down to 9-13 fps and it really kills the game. With Direct X I see 80-85 max and average 50-55 fps with dips down to about 40.
