Nothing beats the enjoyment I get from my AKG-A701s they spend hours on my head hell I just watched a few hours of TV with them on with no discomfort :)

I have tried a lot of speaker setups but nothing beats the immersion of a good set of headphones.

I only have headphones plugged into my rig, so that's what I went with. I used them the majority of the time when I had speakers hooked up too. Better immersion, like others said.

I used speakers for the most part but once I got into voice chat for gaming it's headphones/MIC headset....

We need a side question to this one, Do you live alone, with friends/family, married? This is important information when considering the base question. I would bet MOST people the prefer speakers are not married  :rolleyes:

I used only headphones in my "early days" (ages 12-14) but they were always uncomfortable and hot, but since then I invested in some nice speakers and amp and glad I went to speakers.
